How Many BTU's ?

Modern and vintage hand fired coal stove are similar to a wood stove and in some cases can burn either. They need to be regulated and fed by hand usually every 12 to 24 hours depending on your usage. They require no power to operate making them ideal for rural settings with long power outages.

The stove is rated to hold 100 lbs. of coal. I would say it can produce well over 50,00 BTU very comfortably without over firing.

That is a great question. All I know is that it holds a lot of coal, and puts out heat like you would not believe. All without electricity! :-)

If it holds 100 lbs of coal, i'd say it is close to the size of an hitzer 82 like I have and I can get in that range, so it is probably in the 80k BTU range.
