I found a stove for sale that has a few chips on the top near the pipe. It appears to be enamel white. I just e-mailed the seller,
and was wondering if this stove could be painted.

I think one of the stove paints like "Stove Brite" would cover the areas that are chipped but I wouldn't paint the enameled areas because the paint probably won't stick

If its a good price for the stove, and mechanically it is sound, you can always get it sand-blasted and re-enameled. That should run you a couple bills.

Thats the problem with enamaled stoves, once they start to get chipped up they look lousy and there isn't really a good way to clean them back to the base metal. I tried sand blasting one with a semi commercial sandblaster but gave up after seeing how long it was going to take.
