Hi all -

After a winter with the DX 14 in the shop I replaced the house stove with a DX 15. A difference I noticed right away is that the 15 has an angled baffle attached in front of the chimney exhaust port. DS says this improves efficiency. I am wondering about potential impacts to draft. Anyone out there with with the DX 15 have any experiences positive or negative as a result of this baffle?

DS Stove is not foolish enough to build a poorly designed stove.

Baffle addition was a carefully thought out feature to create for heat to have a bit more time so to allow more extracted heat to the space before rushing up the chimney.
I wouldn’t connect that DS to a undersized flue and chimney though.

DS builds a great stove - I wouldn't have three if I didn't think so. I just wondered about this new baffle and whether there could be any draft issues. My stove is connected to a SS liner that is 22 feet tall and is 6 inch as the stove requires.

Nah, all baffles do is help slow the exhaust, no worries.
