Today in the Coal Region familys would take a basket to church to have priest or minister to blessthe basket of food .The basket would have homemade bread called Paska also some ham an kielbasa an butter in the shape of a lamb .Panther Valley home of Lehigh Ant .was a melting pot of Slovak Polish Russian Italian lituanian who followed the tradition .We kids were on our toes to behave thinking of Easter candy tomorrow .Another tradition was Decorating eggs called Pisanki .Literally the eggs were works of art resembling Engraving On A Fine English double barrel shotgun .Anyway Happy Easter to All
