Picnic no. 9 nice story by jack
While sitting under the small pavilion, lots of coal region storys are retold. Here is one from sunday. A bar tender told me this story. Back in the 1960s a retired miner came into this bar for his usual couple of shots of whiskey washed down with beer. Before leaving the old fellow Took The Last Shot of Whiskey poured It On his palms and rubbed the whiskey into his palms. The barkeep curious asked why he did that? The old miner said, read the label on the whiskey bottle. Heres what the label read. "Kessler whiskey Smooth As Silk." So many great storys from the Coal Regions. Jack
