My Father in Law ...A Pennsylvania Coal Miner

I just ran across this newspaper article from 1958 and wanted to share it.
Although this happened before I met and married his daughter, this story brought back a ton of fond memories of a hard working man who became my father in law and friend.
This was not the only time he narrowly missed death in the mines, but it was one of the funniest stories he shared.

I can understand why he needed the beer & having been alone there's no one to tell. I bet all in that area were happy with the outcome!

then I said to my self, "self, there's all kinds of vents and tubes in here, lets find one and go have a beer"
happy and hillarious ending.
