Isnt it amazing that this site has been mined since Anthracite was first discovered and still an estimate 50 million mine-able tons remain on site, and much more that cannot be mined. Just amazing to me after 224 years we are still heating our homes from the same site and will be for the foreseeable future!

It is amazing.
When I worked for the railroad I got a tour of Black Thunder Mine in Wyoming, the biggest coal mine in North America. When I asked them when they predicted they would run out of coal, there answer was, "this mine will last 30 more years unless we are permitted for more, BUT if you mean the powder River seam of coal, that goes into Canada and will last another 400 years at the current rate of excavation". 400 YEARS!
