I am doing some research on the Pittston Stove Company and would appreciate any information our members may have.

It was located between William and Broad Street,
Pittston Pa. I remember it being referred to as the Pittston Stove Works and it burned down sometime in the early 1900's.

I live about a mile or two from its original site and have two stoves that were built there.

They built some really beautiful cook , parlor, and box stoves, and a large number still exist in Wyoming Valley homes.

My family owns the Pittston Stove building.

I have a lot of history on the subject. In fact, I recently researched and wrote an article for the Greater Pittston Historical Society. I'd be happy to share it with you.

Hi Julio,

I would really enjoy reading your article. I found an old picture on E-Bay of the factory. It was taken before AS Powers was built. It looks like the building to the right of Powers was also part of Pittston Stove.

Does your family run the Dutchess Outlet .

Is your Happy Thought a cook top kitchen stove or a parlor stove?

Yes, that is a Happy Thought direct draft oak stove.

Price is more than fair if the stove itself was never fired. Are you buying or selling it? I would definitely be interested in it if it's for sale.

Here is a picture of one I have that is awaiting restoration.
