Mornin'
Good coffee, HB....thank you. Been lighting a wood fire in the Yukon every morning to keep the dampness out.......weather forecast a dry week ahead. Today we take a scrap load to the landfill..........Fall clean up. Have a great week-end, everyone.

.kinda a different this weekend of camping as we must depart a day early due to our site being booked through next week and Guilford Lake SP is very tiny and booked up.
I can at least get some stuff done around the house tomorrow, still need to get coal for this winter but we are hoping it’s somewhat cheaper than last year.
Have a good weekend friends and enjoy.

Coffee please. What kind of quiche Fred? Maybe a small piece to try it out. Hoping to get a little wood split before going to a remembrance ceremony around 2. Maybe we can stop by the big produce farm and get some sauce makings. Enjoy the sun gents, looks like fall is coming next weekend.

No coffee for me. The sock brew does smell good though. Have a group of people coming up this morning to help cut up scrap ac units and separate copper.
Chemo is going well so far. Side effects have been minimal. Tomorrow is the last day and then I get a week off of treatment. Have a great day everyone!

Moring All!

I'll grab a coffee and then I gotta git to work. Gonna finish the pre-season cleaning on the Van Wert and then clean up the base for the little Gentleman Janitor and get some paint on it. Looks like upper 70's and 80's for most of this week. Might fire up next weekend, might not. :annoyed:

Good morning all. My youngest has a soccer game this morning, then we have to do some cleaning at the hockey rink. Hopefully I can break free this afternoon and go wrench on that AA260 some more.

80's for a few more days here then its wood burning time. It was so dry here that 2 days after 2.75" of rain they were back to combining crops. Creeks are still dry. Poor crops at best.

Mountain Dew (soaked thru a wool sock of course) works for me. I brought extra. Guess I'll get my old Oliver 70 out of the shed today for a little weed control. it sure is hard to get in the mood for fall when its over 80 degrees outside. Another week or so and I'll get my wood into my porch. My coal is in the bin, so then I'll be ready for whatever nature brings. Have a great weekend!

I fired up my VA-600 stoker two weeks ago. Picked up 3,000 # of rice last week, through local dealer @ 375.00 per ton. Cold and wet here...we'll be sometime drying out.
Ziggy87 / Jason, glad to hear the chemo is not too bad so far.

Good morning, just finished up breakfast. Perc'd Coffee, fresh eggs from our hens, potatoes and sausage. We've been burning some pellet logs in the Coal Chubby at night. Gonna be a busy day of getting the house ready to sell. We just made an offer on a "Homestead" An old 1848 farmhouse on five acres. Fingers crossed! The goal is to be mortgage free. Curious what you guys recommend in terms of an antique stove to heat the place, its 2200 sqft. Dana Lapan's place isn't far from me. Ziggy, glad to hear the effects of treatment have been minimal. You've been added to our prayers.

Thanks, HB! I'll just fry a couple of eggs over hard and slap them on a bagel.

I haven't had quiche since a young lady I knew had a restaurant named Quiche Me Tonight. Late 70's to mid 80's. She essentially retired at age 30. Amazing what some people would pay for eggs on a black plate.

Had a 3 day roofing job here this week. Glad that's over except the bill. Three young Amish lads. Super energetic and worked as a team. They climbed around a tall two story with sub roofing and porches better than Spiderman. Yes, they all had smart phones. I want the job of their driver who drove the tool truck and trailer. Sat there in the truck all day every day. Great guys and good job.

Ziggy, all the best luck with the treatments. Refuse to quit!

It is great day for the local guys to get the rust off their old tractors and plows. It is mainly 2 cylinder John Deere’s, but there are a few other colors mixed in. My favorite is a John Deere “G” with a straight pipe.

My Grandfather had a Ford 8n. I guess that's why I've always been partial to the old Fords. Was quite a tractor in its day. It's sitting in a field behind the old house. I may try and buy it.
