Good morning people how’s things in the Coffee House this fine morning? Sitting here by the fire drinking coffee watching the sun trying to come up, Its been some fantastic camping weather the last two weekends and I wish it would last but all good things must come to an end.
The concert last weekend was the best to date, the two top bands performed 2 songs together at the end driving the crowd crazy, glad we were there to hear them, Other than that same old stuff here in Ohio so with that being said have a good weekend friends.

Light rain here but not enough to do any good. I bought an old Magnavox console stereo last night from an online sale so am getting that today and then Farmaid is online all day and on the Circle channel for those that get that channel starting at 7PM eastern time... that will be Dave Reynolds, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Willie after that time.
I suppose next week I better fill the wood wagon and pull it up by the house. My coal is already ready. One of the Almanacs says cold and snowy and the other says warm and dry this winter so I hope its the latter. Have a good one everyone!

Moring All!
Eggs, bacon, clinamen doughnuts and coffee, sounds great!
55* here with a cold, windy rain. Yesterday morning I took a trip up to Coal Country and picked up the GJ boiler and the augers from Scrapper. Then I headed over to Ziggy's place and picked up a spare tailgate for the truck and a 10 foot stick of 2" black iron pipe for the bin auger. Ziggy is going through a pretty rough patch in life so keep him and his family in your prayers. Augers. That's never gunna leak again!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Got off work this morning, got home to find a pile of French Toast, homemade sausage patties, real maple syrup, and fresh perc'd coffee. Good Stuff! Gonna give the Chubby the once over. I've got a stack of wood and some leftover coal from last season. Gonna put a lousy offer in on an old farmhouse. It's gonna need some serious work. Fingers crossed! What would you gents heat an old farmhouse with? Antique Baseburner might be what's needed for the job. Will keep Ziggy in our prayers.

Good morning all. Eggs and toast it. Washing it down some apple juice. Coffee just not on the diet anymore. Little dreary here in the lower side of coal country. It was nice to Don yesterday!
Well folks it’s been a hell of a month. I got diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer that has spread to my liver and lungs. I have a colostomy bag now as well. So needless to say I have had my share of fun!
I started chemo treatments on Monday just to get started. They are giving me a general treatment and will conform it to my cancer the end of October.
As for burning coal. That is going to be out of the question for this year. Having an oil boiler installed here shortly so my wife doesn’t need to worry about the coal.
As for me it one day at time. Put my best foot forward and just trying to stay positive. Have a fantastic day everyone. Keep your loved ones close and enjoy everyday!

Sorry to hear that, Jason. You'll be in our prayers.
Not much to report here. Just work, work, work, and when I finally get 2 days off, it's more work around the house. Funny how that "works" ...
I did manage to get some brakes in the front of the Volvo, and finished up the W250 enough so I can at least drive it. The 2 times I checked my mileage it was 16.87, and 17.79 MPG commuting to work in the city, and jumping on the throttle a LOT. Coming from 14.5 MPG on premium fuel in the Silverado, I'll take it!!
Weather has turned to crap, as usual around here. Gloomy, sunless, and COLD. House has been 66° for the past 48 hours, but I refuse to turn the heat on until deep November. It's long sleeve time. Just got $1k worth of oil this week, so I'm ready. I'll run oil through the shoulder season, and probably fire up the coal around Thanksgiving, or God willing, later.
Off to visit dad, then later have dinner with my best friends and their beautiful kids. Should be a GREAT day. Hope ya'll have one as well.
