Got my broke firebricks replaced and got the coal ... be ready for firing up in next 30 days or so. Probably should check the fans in case either need replacing- easier to do with stove not running

Washed 200+ mica windows in the base burners. Pipes are all connected .

Been burning either rocks or sticks in the range when cool enough for cooking/baking times, if too warm, using the gas sidecar.

Never thought I'd have to dust the kitchen stove from no usage.

Full time burning in about 2 weeks ish.

Just gotta replace stove pipe on both stoves. Planning on burning wood till it gets cold enuf that range can’t keep house warm or the price of coal is to high.

Doing the 503 paint job yourself? With some epoxy spray-on paint.

My 503 could use a paint job...be interested in your outcome

Nice load Rob!

I never need to do much prep. I just burn wood for a while in the spring and Im ready to go when its cold again other than a sweep before starting. I only have 60 bags to burn this year and if its mild like last year I might still have them in the spring.

If it's mild like last year I'm moving to Greenland. Screw snow-less winters.
