Labor Day Weekend Greetings To All..!! No Matter What Your Station In Life May Be,We're Gonna' Celebrate It..!!
Stand-By,my Coal Faithful. I'm going to check in with Our "Trusty Yet Crusty Galley Crew" to see what's poppin'..!!
Well..,This oughta' be worth my little intermission..!! It looks like "The Boys" are excited to crank it up to "Celebrate September" for Ya's..!!
On Deck,They're firing up some home-made corned beef hash..!! Warm & Dfrost took it to the wall by insisting on coming in to start slow simmering the corned beef. They figured a nice kicker was to bake fresh rye bread to have carry-out sandwiches available..!! Top Shelf..!! Ol' Freetown Fred's got the new Coffee Grinder in full blown operation,so that dependable Woolrich Sock's gonna' get a real workout..!! Looks like Jack and Uncle Toddburn have availed themselves to pump out Chipped Beef on Texas Toast, coupled with Buttermilk Pancakes,Belgian Waffles and Homefries.. Oops, let's not forget to mention Fresh Ground Pork Sausage,Hickory Smoked Thick Cut Bacon, and of course, the ever-present Egg..!!
And,this just in,with the passing of that "Legendary And Loveable Beach Slacker Jimmy Buffet At 76 Years Of Age",We got a "Temporary 3-Day Holiday Liquor License" to Help You "Mourning Parrot Heads" Celebrate Mr. Buffet's Life In "Margaritaville" Kick Em' Up And Relax,Jimmy,You've More Than Earned It..!!

Enjoying a fabulous weekend so far here on Lake Berlin, Took a friend’s boat over to a winery last night, did some sightseeing from the water, and sat by a fire drinking some adult beverages.
Smoking a corned beef today and making what ever else we can find to eat.

Cool looking museum TB👍, have a great weekend friends be safe!

Oooooo, sammiches to go on fresh rye! Pass the coffee. I'll take a turkey, provolone, lettuce, onion and double pickles. My son came home from college for the weekend and brought a friend. Polite young man from Guyana. Guess it's a sight seeing and a recipe learning weekend. Enjoy the weekend gents.

RIP Jimmy! Great happy music icon. I'll change it up today and have a foot thick corned beef on rye to chew on as needed...

95 degrees today and low 90's thru Tuesday. Is this September? Cool out right now so i'll have to take care of business quickly. Fantasy Football party Monday. Lawn is dormant, havent mowed much this year with this drought here. I may be done already.

Looks fun Todd and Keep. Have a good weekend everyone!

Wow has the last couple days felt awesome. It's nice seeing the sun for more than 1 day. Seems like the rain will hold off for a solid week!

Slicing and fryin some delicious scrapple at the homestead. Might pull a nice marbled chuck roast or 2 out to hit up on the smoker tomorrow. Chuck roast is almost better than a brisket, I love the point and a smoked chuck turns out like a point.

Anywho, get your chimneys inspected and be ready. We've seen that white crap within the next 30 days before. Ya never know.

I am off to cook 32 chicken halves and enjoy the weather. My mom and dad usually have a chicken bbq for the end of summer, but this year it looks like the summer weather waited for labor day weekend. 75 and sunny right now, headed for 80.

Trucking co. called me last night, need to get my rice coal unloaded tomorrow. After that I will be all set for the heating season.

Late again. Thanks for the slices of rye bread and the piece of leftover corned beef. Tasty! Thank you HB and all. Especially for getting the 3 day "special occasion permit" liquor license. I'll have a CC or Old Fitzgerald or Old Forrester with a splash.

Seems that many are working hard this weekend. Me, not so much. Better half and I went to Boyertown, Berks County yesterday for the Dureya Day car show in their park. Benefits the famous Boyertown transportation museum. Not as many cars as I recall from the last visit, about 10 years ago, but plenty. Have fun and labor!

Someone should have a car show with the theme being not nice and pretty cars but old busted up junk cars...see which total garbage looking car still runs ...
