Greetings And Advil Administrations,Coalers..!!
Perhaps a few of You are suffering from a touch of the "Balloonhead" this fine morning..!! It seems that this "Cinco De Mayo Celebration Business" has caught on big these days. Meanwhile,in Da' Calm Confines of Freddy's,We've got all the cures..!! Tomato Juice,V-8,Celery Sticks,Certain Hot Sauces,Powdered Spices and Dill Pickle Juice are available. What you throw into it,hiding in Your vehicle outside,is Your business..!! That's as far as We can Legally Go in order to provide "Proper Bloody Mary Fixins' "
Regarding "Cures",Us Sober Types are offering Maple Cured,Slow Roasted Ham today..!! It seems that Ol' Freetown Fred & Jack,Our "Ultra Senior Coal Scaliwags",have teamed up to show "Us Young Reprobates" just how Breakfast is done.. Oh Boy..!! It appears that Uncle Toddburn,Warm,D-Frost and "Certain Other Coal Board Undercrust Types" are surviving the "Direct Supervision" of those two..!! Hell Hath No Fury..!!
Our new "Pancake Batter Splatter Blaster" arrived this week. Since We're dyin' to put that new stainless steel beauty to the test,You'll need to get Yourselves set for Der' Panacaker's..!!
Enough of all this Tomfoolery..!! Welcome to May,Gang..!! You've ma de it..!! As Our Founder Freddy had always taught Us: Don't Forget To Hug Your Loved Ones,And Forward We Go..!! "

Thanks for the laugh HB! I had to drive a little over 500 miles yesterday to South Dakota and back for a military funeral yesterday so when Fred and Jack get done screwing around taste testing in the kitchen (I even saw them feeding each other ) I'll take a pound or two of that ham as long as they dont try straining it thru a sock!
I-90 thru MN has to be the most boring drive I take. I could have used some of that Cinco De oh oh stuff in my truck!
Im taking it easy today other than some walking to get the truck seat kinks out of my body. My old truck needs a better seat. Have a good one everyone!

Morning all!
Ham and Coffee, what a great idea!
Last night I sharpened the blades on the 'Ol John Deere then pumped grease into every fitting I could find. Then took it out for a ride. I got a little more than half the mowing done. I guess I'll be finishing it up today.
Have a good weekend everyone!

I blasted off before the coffee was ready this morning, had to settle for Dunkin and it wasn’t the same. Back from Saratoga and just finished the lawn. The new mower blades were worth every penny.

Ya missed a patch there, Rob!
No more hangovers for me! Thankfully those days are now 3 years and almost 2 months behind me. "Blackout" was becoming my middle name. 151 will do that to ya. Also beats the bajesus out of the ol' liver, lemme tell ya!
Yep - mowing season is here. Been finding time to race through it before work during the week, thankfully. I was thinking it was gonna be 3' high by the time I got to it between the rain and lack of time.
Had to make a run yesterday north of Albany with this cute lil' feller called a Versys. (EDIT - it's a Versa. Whatever!!) God, it was embarrassing just to have on the trailer, let alone to drive! Differn't strokes for differn't folks! REAL different! Nice to have some gas money for the week of commuting now, although I should smoke up the company parking garage with the RD & save 2/3 the fuel cost.
When I got home from there I had to fix the neighbors old rusty Dodge Ram pickup exhaust. There was nothing left of it, but I managed to eliminate the muffler (not that it did anything anyway with a 10" hole in it), and weld some hangers on there.
After that, I had to fix our 940 that just went into hibernation from 3 months of salt blasting. Thing was pissing gas out the back, and running like absolute garbage. Found a pinhole in the 11 year old rubber line I put on 8 years ago. Cut 2" off the line off and she's back in business. Thought the rough running was due to fuel pressure loss, but it was another rubber failure - the vacuum line to the MAP sensor, so at any engine speed, the computer figured the car had the pedal to the rug! Was burning my eyes with the raw, half-burnt fuel fumes streaming out the exhaust. Threw on some Tygothane C-210-A I've had laying around here for years, and she purrs like a kitten again. Of course, nothings ever that simple - one end was 3/16" hose, the other, 3/8". I put a smaller size hose over the nipple, then sprayed the whole mess with brake clean as a lubricant, and forced it together. Worked like a charm without a $40 OE replacement.
Now I've got to head out there again and install the new chinesium splash shield I bought on the interwebs to replace the 16 year old OE one that's flapping in the wind. Shocked it's still there after a few trips to 100 MPH on the way back from NY.
My used car dealer buddy stopped by in a DEEP-6-figure Mercedes to grab the paperwork and such. Look at the back seat in this thing! Surprised it doesn't "Service" the passengers as you sit!!
