An honorable mention for someone still alive... It just goes to show you that leading a clean life will let you live to be 90! To his credit he did exercise a lot, something most people dont know. Until recent years he rode bicycle a lot while on tour (tucking his hair into a cap so he wouldnt be recognized), he used to jog a lot, and the karate stuff.
I've seen him many times, got quite a few autographs, love his shows and music. As far as living country artists he's the best one left, my opinion of course. Everyone should see at least one Farm Aid concert.
Today my state passed its recreational weed law although it isnt signed yet. Even though Im not in favor of that law I found it ironic to happen on his birthday.
So anyway, party like your Willie Nelson this weekend to celebrate his birthdays.... He doesnt know for sure which day he was born so calls both the 29th and 30th his birthdays. (it likely was the 29th). Happy Birthday Willie!

My wife is sure that she crossed paths with him a few weeks ago on Sanibel Island in Florida while he was doing a festival tour. Unfortunately she didn't get an autograph or pic, so I guess it didn't happen.. She's sure it was him though lol

Years ago I saw him play with Merle Haggard and Ray Price in Milwaukee. I had a front row seat. After the show his manager gave me Willie's guitar pick from the show when he was cleaning the stage. I thought a few of you may enjoy what he uses for a pick. That was maybe 15 years ago so maybe he uses a different one now but these were all he used for years. They made these for the release of Willie's reggae album called Countryman.

Unless he has recently changed he does very little public stuff, just does his shows and stays on his bus, which he loves. He is real short of breath from emphazema.
He is doing a 2 day show at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend with a lot of his friends. Tickets were $1000's of dollars. Snoop Dog is there so I can guess what he is doing

Ive always thought Willie sounds his best when he is singing with someone else (he maybe tries harder). Him and Billy sound real good together. And thats almost as bad as Willies bus is at the end of the video
You saw him at a nice time TSB. He still had most his old band members then. Mickey on harmonica and Billy on drums is all thats left from the old band.
Anyone that gets Circle TV there is a concert of his at 3:30 eastern time. I think its a show from 2010.
I got out my Willie Doll yesterday, signed by Willie, his sons Lucas and Micah, sister Bobbie, Paul English, and I think Paul's brother Billie.

Nope, all paid. He didnt dodge the IRS. His accountant did the theft from Willie so Willie still had to pay it.

Well, the IRS is not quick to say you did not file. One year I got a notice saying I did not file at all for a year...10 yrs before. I filed and gave them all the paperwork, including a copy of my payment cancelled check with their acct # on the back...they said no, thats not good enough..they demanded a file stamped copy of my 1040.
Last yr I got a notice saying that, for a TY 5 yrs ago, I did the taxes wrong and I owed $30-40 thousand. I re-checked, original 1040 looked good. I amended the return (basically sending in the same 1040 initially filed). 9 mos later I got a check for $3 (three, just three).
Every five years or so, I get such issues. They must like me.
