The pharmacy is one thing in this day and age that has vastly improved. Years ago a person would see a doctor and he would write a prescription on a piece of paper. You would take that to the pharmacy and hand it over. They would fill the prescription while you waited. Then came the fantastic option for your doctor to just directly send the prescription to your pharmacy so it would be ready for you when you arrived. The best part is now, you go see the doctor, he sends the prescription directly to the pharmacy, and hours later it still hasn't been filled. The good new days!

When I was a kid the doctor dispensed the medicine, no pharmacy needed.
