Not a train derailment .... only 400,000 gal of radioactive stuff in Minn. leaked. Just learning about the November 2022 leak this week.

I did some quick math. 400,000 gallons would slightly overfill a hole 12.5 yards long, wide, and tall. Even with the leak theres a bill trying to allow the building of nuclear plants in the state again. We have 2 at this time. All this mess just so people can charge their cars and be green. Makes me want to drive my Bronco again.davidmcbeth3 wrote: ↑Sat. Mar. 18, 2023 1:04 pmhttps://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/400-000-gallons ... b568&ei=27

Ethanol spill the way it reads. That should make a quick hot fire if they can keep the locals from trying to bottle it up for medicinal purposes!

A derailment story with another derailment story inside the primary derailment story is tight.Hoytman wrote: ↑Thu. Mar. 30, 2023 8:45 am“BNSF train carrying ethanol in Minnesota derails and catches fire, forcing evacuations in small town”

Derailments aren't that uncommon. The local stretch of track near here has had a few in years past. A crew of Conrail workers kept their section in shape during the day and kept the local bars busy during the night. A hard working, hard drinking bunch. Ties rot out. Some are kept in use longer than they should.
