Yeah, they're screwing all of us to push their green bullshit agenda. So infuriating!!

Can you imagine how loud the left would scream if there was an "Exxon-Mobil subsidy" charge on our electric bills? It would be on the front page of every news story.

I highly doubt that with this fossil-fuel-hating administration we have right now. If this dope's first plan of action was to shut down Keystone - XL, I'd wager his second action would be to end ALL subsidies, if there were any to begin with.

I hear this all the time but I've never seen proof of it. EVER.

Royal Dutch Shell is one of the O&G supermajors. They just finished building a $10 billion petrochemical complex 15 miles from my house to turn natural gas into plastic raw material for plastics manufacturing. They received a 25 year tax break from the state of Pennsylvania worth $66 million/year or $1.65 billion over the life of the deal. While this plant isn't a fuel producing site rather a fuel consuming site Shell is one of, if not the biggest name in oil & gas production. And yes they get subsidies all the time in the form of insane tax breaks. A tax break is considered a subsidy. If you don't think O&G companies get continuous, major subsidies then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you....

They are like credit card companies. They are going to screw us for XXXX amount of dollars one way or the other. Whether at the pump or with subsides we pay either way.

Its like fining an oil company for a big leak somewhere. Who is paying that fine? Its us cuz they just raise the cost of oil to cover the fine. They should put people in jail instead. At least all we would pay for is the jail cell.

Politicians..... They can open a pipeline or an area to drilling (at least thats a small step forward sometimes) but it takes years or a decade for it to matter and then they ship the oil overseas to the highest bidder. It may trickle the cost down a little but not a lot. Again at least thats a small step forward. But big oil is going to get their cut no matter what.

I remember when oil companies used to say they were pumping all they could and now they cut back if the price drops to keep the price high. Tar and feathers is too good for any of them.

The cost of fuel seemed much less significant when Trump was POTUS. I wasn't typing on this forum then or purchasing truckloads of coal. Heating oil was $1.32 per gallon. Anybody remember the cost of gasoline then? Oh forgot most of you are PA folks. Boy oh boy your state has expensive gas. I always try to avoid filling up in PA whenever possible.

There wasnt a big war going on then either which really added to the problem and to greed. Of course the argument can be made that war wouldnt have happened if he won a 2nd term. Im sure oil comapanies do like republicans in power right now too as they arent blabbing at the mouth about clean energy as much. That could affect the price a small amount. But they will grab all they can.
