Biggest problem Baldwin has/had was/is his ego. He should have kept his mouth shut and listened to attorneys instead of blabbing on interviews.

Oh, he's way smarter than a lawyer. He probably played that part once. He may even have stayed at a holiday inn.

Doesn't need to be an "example" - he needs to be held to the same standard of accountability as anyone else in similar circumstances regarding the death of another person.
Exactly what I said. He needs to be made an example of how rich Hollywood types should be treated like any other individual. Not to mention he was in charge of everything, that makes the all of it his responsibility. He is responsible for hiring a drunk as an armorer. He's responsible for her bringing live ammunition onto the set. He's responsible for firing the gun. The whole thing is ridiculous. The gun that fired the bullet was in his hand. Is this really that difficult of a case?

Im unsure on the triggers pull, but if it pulls as hard as my Ruger you know your pulling it. I blame him more than the armorer as he should have checked it himself if he was going to be pointing it at people.

Baldwin was no stranger to firearms. He'd used firearms in previous movies, and he should have known the safety rules.

In addition, his father, an ex-Marine, was the rifle team coach at Massapequa high school, the town next to where I grew up in Amityville. Hard to believe Baldwin would grow up not knowing the basics of firearm safety.

I was on the Amityville high school rifle team back then. We and all the schools on Long Island with rifle programs, got a lot of support from the NRA, which was heavy on safety training. In fact, firearm safety was one of the first things we were taught, and it was stressed at every practice.

Actors generally have no clue how guns work. Look at Seagal...

Heck even many cops don't know how to work guns. I've had cops buy guns from me to return them saying that they are broke because they can't hit anything; I take the gun and plunked bulleyes.

If anyone should not have guns, its cops.

How many actors were raised by a father that was a Marine expert rifleman and later a state champion high school rifle team coach ?

No excuse.

Well, his dad was a terrible Marine .. not instilling in his kids the RKBA is an absolute right.

What his dad was is irrelevant to the shooting. Why do you think it is ?

Irrelevant only in your mind. I'm sure it will be brought up in a trail.

I "think it is" because we learn from our parents, and his father was not only a well-respected teacher, but a top rifle team coach at a time when the NRA was heavily active in school programs teaching gun safety in the days before they got off that track with their emphasis on legislation. This was in the days before the anti-gun madness started. Still have all my NRA award badges earned in Rifle club, which in my senior year, as Captain of the Rifle team, I helped coach the rifle club. Lots of emphasis on gun safety and strict penalties for failing to follow safety rules.

So, what makes you think Alec would not have learned any safe gun handling from his father ?

His (and his company's) firearm safety training will come up, as an actor and producer. If he brings up his father then it might be evidence but if not, its not going to be evidence at court. Probably not is my guess. We'll see.

My dad was a vet, also expert in weapons ... he shared none of that with me.

Irrelevant. Your dad was not Baldwins dad and that won't come up in court. Neither will a video of Steven Seagal.

But if Baldwin tries to plead that he was not responsible for safe gun handling you can bet his father will be brought up in court.
