Probably allows everyone else to be able to hear themselves think too. Boy those hard of hearing can make it tough. Sometimes a clue that people are hard of hearing is the volume in which they talk. Usually the person screaming when talking right next to you is hard of hearing.
Tinnitus I tell you makes it so you cannot hear your own voice. But I generally hear better than the ppl who think I cannot hear. Like someone else said earlier, with hearing aids the sound of your own voice is booming. Hard of hearing and tinnitus are two different things.

Ever met people that just talks very soft? I mean so soft that a person with great hearing sitting right next to them couldn't hear them?

Something else about hearing aids. May help some of us,... But if you keep forgetting to put the hearing aid in, then maybe it's not as good as they claim.

I’ve been wearing hearing aids probably ten years already. 50+ years concrete construction did my ears in.
