By the time I was finished with a pair of Levi’s they were so full of holes they would be trendy and expensive by today’s standards. The only time I discarded a pair is when the crotch finally gave out.
When I was a kid my mother would take me to the dry goods section at the grocery store and buy me a pair of white painters pants because they were so cheap that’s all she could afford. I didn’t care until I got a little older. One time I complained and she told me if I wanted blues jeans I could buy them with my own money. I immediately went looking for work. Mowed, raked leaves, walked beans scooped snow. I had 5 pair of Levi’s by the end of the year. Had to keep working though cuz I kept outgrowing them.

I can't afford to.pay allowance, help, paying attention is a bit much at times. My kids never went without food or clothes. When they were little they had brand new Columbia winter coats. My boots were on their second winter and my coat was previously worn by a foreign military.
