Greetings & Good Morning My "Coal Curmudgeons!! It appears We're having just a Spooky Touch of Halloween at Der' Freddy's!! We're also celebrating and ushering October right out Da' door! Looks like Warm,Dfrost and Todd spent Friday Night creating Pumpkin Rolls,Pumpkin Pies and even some Crunchy Roasted Pumpkin Seeds!! The Jack-O-Lanterns are on the Porch,Cornstalks are tied to the Posts, and Ol' Freetown Fred has busted out the Annual"Haunted Woolrich Sock" for Your Coffee Sippin' Pleasure! What a Guy!! We're grinding out more than Coffee Beans today,Gang! We decided to Honor the "Lowly Potato" with a well scrubbed 50lb bag of Spuds being converted into No-Peel Home Fries and Hash Browns tastified with Seasoning Salt,Course Ground Pepper and ever so slight a touch of Old Bay Seasoning! For You "Gotta' Peel Em' Folks",We'll do the same, but with the added touch of the Rare,Elusive & Labor Intensive Potato Pancakes! We know Spuds,Gang!! For You Healthy Choice Types,We're Offering "Free-Range Oatmeal" that doesn't have appeared like it did a Tour at the Elmer's Glue Factory!! We're also tossin' out Fresh-Baked Autumn Breads and a variety of Muffins to boot! Whew! This Year's Harvest of Thick-Sliced-Lean Bacon, along with Sage and/or Maple Lean Ground Breakfast Sausage oughta Seal Da' Deal for making Jenny Craig,Your Heart Doctor and Weight-Watchers cry real tears!! Christ,We're Exhausted!!
On a lesser, and more Melancholy Note,it's curtains for me and my Camp. Da' Shutdown is upon me. Much like Freddy's Tales of his Maine North&South Camps straddling the Lake,I've got a Bucket Load of Memories and Tales of my own! I'm so Humbled to have the Rich Privilege of this Place and it's Fine Folks!! I'm a Common Man living an Uncommon Experience! The same goes for my Association with All Of You,Right Here at Da' House that Freddy, and Da' Mayor, have built!! Keep it Warm,Gang!!

Good morning. We had some beautiful weather this week. I mowed the lawn again and hope that is it for the season. Patrick picked up all the sticks and pine cones, so we had one last campfire before everything gets put away this weekend.
Hockey season starts today. I will get the snow tires on the Suburban in a few weeks and be ready for the white stuff.

Dang HB, thats quite the paragraph! How'd you know I love fries with the skin on? Red potatoes. Nothing better fried in butter slowly until brown.... except maybe bacon!
Im cutting wood for next year and have to do a little splitting this morning then I'll figure out whats next. I cut some small plums down yesterday and learned that the thorns are long, sharp, and tough enough to go thru my shoes! Ouch! They would go thru a tire real easily. Have a good one!

Good morning all,
Well been busy this morning plus got 3 ton of Sherman stove delivered by user Idlorah just a bit ago , well a little longer than that, we talked coal and stokers for a while but a big thank you to him for that. Got some more wiring to do and some stove pipe to piece together maybe we'll have the hand-fired up and running before too long.
Enjoy the day all!

Good late afternoon people and boy HB what a opening for being 3:45 in the morning .
I was going to go into work today but I decided to blow it off as I needed to catch up on lots of crap around the house, i had to replace the rear door latch and cables in my truck first thing this morning , did some maintenance to the camper, then finish cutting up a maple tree trunk to make room for more maple I’m going to get tomorrow.
Your closing up shop HB just when the good camping is starting. Finally sitting down by a fire drinking Crown and smoking a cigar giving my back a rest, ok friends have a great weekend and enjoy the weather.

A day late but I made it this time.
The past few weeks my spare time has been taken up buy my other hobby, guitars. These are the culprits that have been sucking up my time lately.
I guess I better get back in Coal Stoker mode too.
