Nope--but I'm real glad I still got my beastly wood burner still hooked up in tha back of this old 1857 farmhouse 2200 sq--hell, she heated by herself for yrs pre coal!! I'm good with coal for at least 2 seasons--we'll see what happens by then.

I don't know anything of shortages of new stoves, but I would guess that production has been light for the last couple of years. I've noticed that there have been a lot of used coal stoves for sale the past couple of years. That seems to have really exploded of late.
Not sure what a legal to sell wood stove is these days. May be different in some states? They're likely selling as well as pellet stoves.

Firewood has not went up here either but anywhere near the close by money town is expensive, always has been. Just have to stay away from there.
I dont see any shortage of wood stoves here and I am seeing sales on them, pellet stoves also. Propane is contracting at $1.85 here which is still somewhat reasonable if you have a high efficient system. Mine isnt efficient. I dont think people are going to switch fuels unless NG goes nuts this winter (if its a cold winter).
There are not many coal burners close by here. Just the Amish and me. And looks like mostly wood for me this year.
Hopefully that damned war ends soon and shipping resumes there to drop these prices for next year.

Neighbor text me and said he’s seeing prices from $150-$400 per rick … that’s a facecord or 1/3 of a cord…16”x4’x8’.

Nice link Grumpy. If this winter is cold I dont want to think of how Europe will be dealing with it. We complain about the prices we have on fuel here but it is nothing like over there. They are not prepared very well yet.

Too hot to bother right now...
First cold snap and then hear the howling...
Ma prevents the retail sale of the non-epa approved stoves...
If retail store has on on the floor they get a hefty fine...
I don't think they will be policing Craigslist or Marketplace but who knows...

I should be OK with 5 EPA stoves in various locations. And a few smoke dragons i dont use anymore. Not sure my wood pile will be safe though ,its too exposed.

Why wouldn't they? They censored everything else....except for taking children to the drag shows in Texas...all protected by their armed dishonor guards in black.CapeCoaler wrote: ↑Mon. Aug. 29, 2022 8:36 pmToo hot to bother right now...

In MA? I like an optimist. Let's ban whipped cream altogether. Forget the drought and the fact everybody is freezing.
