Anthony,
Just a note of caution on the DSL. You might want to verify in writing that the DSL carrier will initiate service. My daughter moved about one mile in the same town. Verizon was happy to switch phone service but after the fact she found out they refused to switch on the DSL. Luckily a cable provider was available (Cox).

First check pump in the kinda basement in this old farm house built in 1847--wellllllll it's cooked--go out & buy a $400.00 jet pump--hmmmm, still no water BUT--water runnin down the stone basement wall---I never knew EXACTLY where the well is--nothing on the deed or survey--guess they didn't do that kinda thing 200 yrs. ago--LOL Welll, ya borrow your neighbors old FORD backhoe, call on some young neighbors to man the smaller diggin utensils-- remember--no casing above ground--did some dowsin & got--I thought pretty on the money--clay casing is 6" 2 pipes goin to the pump 1 1/2" & 1"--WTF--LOL Well, I'm about to tired to type!!! They’re a pain in the rump in a small crawl space with an even smaller opening and a fat boy has to back his way into the first 24” then make a blind right turn into and through an even narrower opening into the main crawl space. I tell ya’, makes me want to curse every time. Fact is, I’ve fattened up even more and I’m not sure I can get this lard bucket of mine through that gap anymore. Good thing the boy is 15…I’ll send him under there.
I’ve been thinking about an access through the wood floor, no kidding. LOL!

Its no fun in a wellhouse trying to unfreeze the above ground part when its -20 outside and the wind blowing. I learned to appreciate basement setups But crawling into a crawl space would not be fun either.
I like the part of not having to keep things outside from freezing that basement setups can often achieve. A heat lamp is often enough. Im sure there are exceptions.
