No.9 picnic review
Guys here is a post on Memorial picnic at the mine site .Tours from 11 am to 3 9m in the mine .Please come some time .The food Was Outstanding .Bar b q beef style .Halipki orStuffed cabbage .Also Halushki which is fried cabbage and noodles with butter an onions .Pierogis too .These are Ravioli shaped dough stuffed with Potatoes and Done In butter and onions .Next picnis put on Your Calender is Labor Day Sonday at the mine site .Guys this picnic is Much Like A Church Picnic .Lots of Camaraderie .Great food the Tours In The mine If Your A Coal User check it out .For kids note there is A Non Running Steam Locomotive The Kids Can climb all over .5706457074 jack

Thanks Jack! I wanted to make this one for sure. The food sounded great. I could sure go for some real pierogies. I have a niece that my wife's family has a birthday party for every year. Always on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Will do my best for Labor Day. Didn't go last year on Labor Day because it was raining where I was, then found out later it didn't rain in Lansford. Won't do that again. If nothing else, it's not raining in the mine. I think my mine museum membership expired as well.

I saw another poster for the next event at the No/ 9 Coal Mine Museum in Lansford, Pa. The heritage festival.

A coal shoveling competition? Yeah right away. I won't be home that day but will be September 4th so am planning on being there and seeing Jack for a perogi eating competition.
Guys July 10 is a Miners Festival at the mine .Tours 11 to 3 pm .Note in past years the Food Is From Vendors at this festival .So food is not from Our Volunteer Cooks etc .Still a nice dayfor all .jack
