Yo-Ho,Coalers! Big "D",Thanx For Kickin' Da' Door In At Freddy's House Of Calorie Thrills! For All You "Maple Syrup Fanatics", The Chardon Maple Festival(aka "The Maple Flop") Is On And Raging. It Was Traditionally Held Much Earlier In Da' Spring When Sap Was Actually Being Gathered. It Was Moved To This Weekend After A Couple Of Snowstorms Over Recent Past Years Detonated It. Eh,Weather. We'll Get Close To 80° Today! Steady As She Goes,Mates! Hard Duty Awaits As We'll Gather To Say A "Fond Farewell For Now" To My Cousin Marie. She Pulled A Surprise Leaving On Good Friday At 67. She's The First Of My Late Uncle And Aunt's 7 Kids To Pass. She's Going To Be Rather Drastically Missed. That's A Grace! This Is Yet Another Huge Reason Freddy Always Dispensed With Every Coffee And Meal Served Here:"Don't Forget To Hug Your Loved Ones",Coupled With Da' Crusher:"Forward We Go"... Live It,Gang!!

Morning all!

My condolences on the passing of Cousin Marie HB.

Yesterday, a friend and I took a trip out to Shippensburg PA to look at a couple Axeman Anderson's and met their owner Orbie Pepley. He is in his 90's, a Korean War Vet, Welder/Fabricator and in his spare time he furbishes Axeman Anderson's!

He is a fascinating guy to talk to and we had a great time there.

Here we are in his shop looking at his unique Axeman install next to his old Dodge 12 valve Turbo Cummins welding truck.

We ended up comeing home with 2 Axemans and a bunch of parts. Orbie also had a coal business on the side. Here we are all loaded up on the scale.

More on this later. I still have to edit the video.

Have a good weekend everyone!

What a week.... mom nature bombed this area with 12" HEAVY, wet miserable rain to snow starting last sunday evening. I woke up at 345am to no power monday morning. Ahh a few hours all would be okay, Dang was i wrong. the county i live in has 24 power grids, all but 4 of them were down and out! The Ham man can tell you better than me what that brings as far as calling in all help possible to get it working again. I finally got power back sometime thursday while i was at work. Hats off to multiple power companies from all the regions that came and helped. Total 28K customers no power. This a rural area, so figure that into how many square miles it affected.

Still a day behind.... I may never catch up! Thanks for the coffee D-Frost. Speaking of dee frost.... almost every morning this week was well below freezing. It always melts off to mud. One hellofa mud season we got going on here!

HB.... yup.... 67 is too young to leave this big blue ball. Hope the celebration of life goes well.

Looks like rain all this week. Oh, sure.... gotta keep the mud moist!

Ahh... The "Bottomless Coffee Cup" at Freddy's never gets old!!🌅☕☕☕🌅. I'm rather sensitive to always trying to avoid "Pooping On Everyone Else's Parade" notions. It's why I really tried to "Go Lightly" regarding my Cousin Marie checking out on Good Friday. Things in Life that occur are how You greet them. Yep,Easter sure was "Interesting" with her loss. Here I am,damn near two weeks after, still learning how to grow, and learn, from the rather "Realistic,Rich And Lasting Living Legacy" she bequeathed to Da' Whole Family.. You Fine Folks really are a part of that, here,in the Coal Zone!! For Da' Mayors Tiny Town,And It's Inhabitants,I'm Most Grateful...!!
