Thanks HB for the opening I’ve got extra bacon on for a fellow in MN. Good job on the snuff habit Jed. I should follow your lead. Real nice week here let the Hitzer run out and heat pump take over. So nice to have a weekend off! Had a big maple taken down and a huge pin oak also, to close to the house after the big ice storm we had last month. So if the rain holds off cut them up some. Stay safe friends and have a great weekend!

Morning all!
53 degrees here this morning. After coffee I got to finish putting plugs and wires on the New Old truck. Then I have to clean the fines out of the Axeman doghouse and get the bins ready. Expecting a coal delivery either today or Monday. I'm getting 6 ton in before the price goes up to $280 a ton at the end of the month!
Have a good weekend!

Good morning friends and thanks for opening HB( the bay is calling HB)Just enjoying a fairly nice weekend camping with some friends.
I decided to let the Glenwood burn out this weekend since now one is home to tend it, the weather is going to be somewhat warmer but its not in hibernation yet.
Have a great weekend people and enjoy.

I'll put the bacon Todd brought to good use... nice and crunchy, just how I like it! Thanks! I did a bunch of pruning on tree's this week and still have piles of brush to pick up. I suppose once it gets above freezing my truck will sink out of sight so I better get outside soon. Im expecting to be burning a lot more wood next year, not excited about that but oh well. Have a good one!

Thanks for keeping this place open. Always nice to find a pot of coffee ready to go. A big ol' cloudy, rainy weekend here. But, no complaints!
Quitting smoking...I imagine snuff is similar.... Over 30 years I quit smoking 3 times for a year...twice for three years each time. Finally 11 years ago I figured it out... I am a "cigarette alcoholic". I can not have ONE. If I smoke one, within two weeks I will be smoking almost a pack a day. So... Jedneck.. Good going. Just don't do ONE snuff.
Hug your loved ones.... today!

I havent made syrup in a while but I used to boil it down to where there was still a little extra water and make popcorn balls out if it. It was too rich if boiled all the way down but some people may like that. Thats been a long time ago, too long.
