Did you ever use the old mechanical statistical calculators ? They were like a typewriter on crack.

So... after nearly 2 years I took look at Sony's site a few minutes ago an they had one version available which was bundled with a game I wasn't particularly interested in... but whatever. The unicorn arrives in a few days.
If you are looking for one these consoles might want to see if they still have them listed as available.

Out of stock..... surprisingly my order will be delivered tomorrow. I didn't opt for the express delivery but it will actually be here in less time with regular delivery. They must just stage them at shipper when they get a shipment into supply chain and then just label/ship them right from there. Certainly make sense for something like this because they can run out of stock before it even leaves the dock.Richard S. wrote: ↑Fri. Here's my first impressions. Relatively speaking It's big, more like a mid sized pc case. It's also very heavy, proabaly about 10 pounds. I'm guessing the 4k adds a lot of hardware requirements especially for power and cooling. The controller is similar to the ps4, one complaint I have is it's white which is going to require constant cleaning. Not sure why a designer would think making something you are handling all the time white was a good idea. That's all I got.....
I'll never win the 1 in a million lottery but I'm guaranteed winner on being sent the 1 in a million bricked ps5 console directly from Sony. Pressing the power button produces a single beep and nothing beyond that. No lights, no fans, no nothing.
Looks like I'll be waiting a while longer, they better not give me the run around and just send me another one immediately.

Correct, I press the power button, it beeps once and does nothing else. No power lights, no fans starting, no nothing.
It's currently keeping the small stool I put it on firmly planted on the ground. No idea how many ship like this but I'm guessing it's one in millions.A "brick" colloquially refers to a mobile device, game console, router or other consumer electronic device that is no longer functional due to corrupted firmware, a hardware problem, or other damage. The term analogizes the device to a brick's modern technological usefulness

My wife kicked me and my ps5 outta the living room. So the comment someone made about not sleeping at night…. Lol yup she rests on my dresser now she can listen to button clicks at night haha. I’m a huge metal gear fan. I enjoy story modes in games. This online gameplay and expansion stuff is fun but it is killing the story mode designs that made some the best games ever imo.
