At a family gathering a few years back, I asked one of my brothers, "Do you do that texting thing?"
My nieces and nephews laughed and laughed as if I had said something very funny.
I suppose it was like, as a teen, if I had heard my grandmother ask, "Do you do that telephoning thing?"
