Good morning guys a balmy 5 degrees here. The sock is packed full, extra bacon is frying along with eggs, toast and fruit preserves. Come on in and enjoy the company! Good day to relax I suppose. Stay safe, stay warm!

About the same here. We are supposed to be well below zero Monday and Tuesday with strong NW wind, but for now it is calm and the house is cozy.
I finished the brake job on the old Suburban yesterday and in another hour I am headed to VT for a hockey tournament.

Well....it is also cold here.....23 but I am headed out on the lake with a friend to see if he can catch a hybrid Stripper...if so, I will go get a license and try it also! Supposed to warm up a bit. Days are getting longer! And this is not a frozen lake, lol.
In other news, planning some big changes. Finishing up projects for other people, looking at large lots of land for building a couple of houses and a business on, and moving slightly further North of here to afford the land. My house has doubled in value in 4 years even without accessing the changes I have made. It will likely create a bidding war once I list it. Unreal!
Have a great weekend and enjoy the "bomb cyclone" up there, ain't that a ridiculous name?

Morning all. Bones coffee is good this morning. We are right at 4 degs. with about 5" of snow. Both stokers running almost full bore keeping up in this big old 1890 victorian. Coal delivery scheduled for Monday or Tues. 4 ton. I have about a ton left in my bin, but prolly go thru a bit this weekend with the colder temps. Enjoy your weekend.

Good coffee, thanks!
Brr...... 6" of new snow. 14* here with a stiff wind. It's blowing the new snow all over. I just got in from snow blowing.
An exciting year so far. Yaaa, that's what I'm going to call a combination of two out-fires in my Axeman Anderson and 4 false alarms in the smoke detector system. Three of them in the middle of the night! I think I'll write separate stories about those things.
Hope you all stay warm, dry & safe.
Forward we go!

Morning all,
19 degrees here, light wind. Only about 2" or 3" of snow from the other day so that will probably stay around for a while. I fired up the 'Ol Harman SF3500 yesterday since it was finally cold enough to play with it. I reloaded it just before I started typing this and left the ashpan door open. I kind of forgot about it, then blower kicked on and reminded me but before I could get down there I heard a big BOOM!
All is well, the nice, solid Harman door and latch contained the blast inside the Furnace. I wonder how Freddy managed to have an outfire in his Axeman?
Have a good weekend All!

I brought my own snickers bar to wrap in crispy bacon, yummy! Im suppose to hit 27 degrees today but with 40MPG gusts so it might as well be zero out. Im going to head a ways north this afternoon to do some outside work for an hour but other than that, nothing. Later folks!
