There are lots of curved lines and lots of black dots, but they evaporate as soon as I find them. :o

Your brain will show you what it expects your eyes saw. Your eyes can gather a tremendous amount of information, so much it will overwhelm the brain to process it all. The brain discards most of it and fills in the blanks. This is the basis for most illusions and optical tricks. Magicians exploit this all the time.

What it will process maxes out around 120FPS, if your brain didn't do this you just see a bunch of single images flickering by when watching TV. The fluid movement is created by the brain because that is what it expects it was.
