Yes, of course. One just needs to look at who is invested in the fantasy energy program to see the answer.

I think that is the goal, but it is another example of "monkeys playing with mainframes". The immediate effect has been a return to coal for baseline power, and higher energy costs for everyone.

If they really want people to go electric, all they need to do is make electric the most economical choice. Unfortunately that will never happen in our lifetime if they keep trying to do it with solar and wind.

Ditto.

Not a simple Yes/No, but a combination of factors. Much of which points to Washington.

To think people think i am biased. I think that after over a decade EVs have taken over 1.7% of the market and run on a power source that is 80% a mix of coal and uranium. What is political about facts. The fact that GM and Ford amongst many others are going to commit Harakiri now that is a mystery and may be political.

The markets have already priced a reserve release. Perhaps gas will be cheaper for a coupla weeks. More bumbling stupidity from President Bidet ... now that is purely political. So you see the difference

So Biden Fails yet again. The reserve release should have been left as a threat only. So now gas and HO will go higher.

No, and it's not just the price of gas(oline) look at the price of natural gas https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/natural-gas select the 10 year graph. Something happened about 9 months ago that caused the price of natural gas to spike to near 2014 prices. You said to leave politics out of it so I will not elaborate any more.

I am not in favor of the current in crowd, however, being fair, NG is globally in tight supply with Russia, Ukraine and Qatar the US and others all playing silly buggers. Everybody wants to save the planet except when they are broke and cold. So electric prices up as well and too late to regroup before this winter. UTMAIA. So far amazingly cheap and I'm loving it. Now friends are coming round to help me as I start to recover. Next project is two Lister CS/6 running soy oil as it now in XS again. I need amusement. I do not trust NYISO not to jack up prices
