Sabretts - and to get thier famous "snap" they must be grilled not boiled. Still a favorite since I was a kid going to Nathan's Coney Island stands and Jones Beach boardwalk snack bar. Packages available at just about any supermarket, or Walmart around here.

I don't eat many hot dogs but when I do they have to beef, not sure why but I can't stand the taste of the pork/chicken ones anymore. They literally make me sick. I don't go all out with the deli dogs often but do occasionally.
Locally there is a few Abes hot dogs, there is four locations and I think all them are different owners. There is two in Wilkes -Barre that have been there for 100 years.

Reading this thread can give a guy an appetite! I'm with Richard with the all Beef type these days. Switched over some years ago. We enjoy them about twice a month.
The big local brand for in store dogs around here is the Berks Hostess brand. They've been around forever. Out of probably 10 types, they have an all Beef and an overpriced "Black Angus" beef dog. All are a big cut above most national brands. If they're on sale, which they often are, I head straight for the Nathan's and the Hebrew Nationals. I grill, boil, butterfly fry and bake 'em in a crescent roll wrap with cheese.. Rarely, just nuke 'em.
Over 40 years ago I worked near one of Yocco's hotdogs locations, West of Allentown. No complaints there, but I remember not seeing what all the fuss was about. Evidently they're still very much alive with 4 locations.
