Ive been burning green ash only cured 1 year. It has to be the smokiest wood Ive ever burned. But I had to cut the tree's so might as well burn it. I'll have more next year, and cottonwood. Really scraping the bottom of the wood species, lol It sure isnt black locust, thats for sure! I think I'd rather burn soft maple.

warm.......
I'm with you on that....if I have to cut it, the Yukon will burn it. The soft wood, if over 6" diameter, I split in half, then it all sits 1 year in the woodshed. It's good for the 'shoulder' months until the 'blue ladies' dance!!!!!......we have 4 ton of bagged 'black rocks' in the basement, just waiting for 'Old Man Winter'.
Cheers

It's an EFM 520. If I ever get it down the basement there, it'll be more heat than I'll ever need.
Going to be a while, though ...

On the spec plate it should have the manufacturer's name. EFM outsourced to other manufacturers in addition to manufacturing in house, mine is a LoLine.

I pushed him back on the forum...LOL. We need a thread on his EFM install. He was here last week and got to see my 350 running up close and personal.
