Easter an Lent a month or so before ment giving up something like candy to honor christs suffering .In town Coaldale were Polish Slovak Russian Lithuanian churches .All 4 on Saturday took a basket of food to there church to be blessed by the priest .Most all the men were Miners who Worked for the Old Lehigh Coal Company .My mom raised 5 kids somehow .This would Be Our Last Easter Together .Dad Had Been Blown Up By A Gas Explosion The Previous Sept .At No.8 Mine .Ill dig up a picture .Pop was wrapped From His Waste To His Head or bandaged Because Of Being Burned .He looked Like A Mummy .But today easter we were All together Thats All That Counted .Pop never had a car so taking mom out for dinner would have been Strange for him .He rather go to the Gin Mill barroom with his miner buddys .When i got my first paycheck i took mom to a semi fancy restaurant told me i feel like Queen Elizabeth .Anyway Happy Easter ll You Forum Guys .Love Your Family .Jack
