Barry, when my dad passed, we thought we’d have to fix up the house. It hadn’t been painted since it was built in the early ‘60’s. The auctioneer said sell it as is. The colors you choose may not be what the new owners want. It took us a year to clean out the house, and it brought $30,000 more than the appraisal. Right now at least in our area it’s a sellers market.

Buyer pays premium at an auction so one way is to go the auction route...
Sometimes it is easier to let someone else do the work...
Check out the auction process you may end up with more net than with a traditional remodel and flip...
Especially with all the material shortages and price increases...

Just chillin' and helping the wife recover from the emergency surgery...
Her own worst enemy wanting to do too much too soon...
Finally have her resigned to a proper recovery time frame...
Little set backs but under control...
Taking care of a RN can be a complicated matter...
LOL...
Glad we Home Schooled...
Covid is once again taking off in our area on The Cape...
Looks like the schools here will be on full remote again as Covid is moving through the school population...

Thats what my other brother in law is hoping for ( he and his wife own the house but there is a loan on it) the house and garage are getting resided by the insurance company due to a weather related claim so the outside is good( newer windows and roof ) I would guess the bathroom needs a complete gut as it is in horrid condition but other then a good cleaning and possible paint I think it maybe very marketable as is but we will see.
