Tis a chilly morning here in Maine, but even 5 degrees isn't cold enough to cool this coffee pot. Come on in, spend a moment in time and shake the shivers with a big ol' cup of Jo. Scrambled eggs and bacon is about to hit the fry pan. Enjoy!

The Axeman boiler is loving this weather. It happily jogs along and easily keeps this whole compound warm. Ahhhhh.

I get to go magnet fishing today. Micheal lost my 2 9/16" self feed drill bit with extension under the ice. Hopefully some ice fisherman will drill a hole for us & we can salvage the drill bit. People are real happy with the ice skating rink. They come & go all day.

Stay safe.... be well, and forward we go!

Great breakfast Freddy, hope you get the bit back those things are expensive. Headed to Myrtle beach Thursday morning for annual golf trip, hoping for good weather I could stand a little sunshine. Have a safe and great weekend all.

Howdy all! Been a while since I stopped in. Everything's better with bacon!
Going to look at and probably buy an Alaska Kodiak hand fed today. It's just over the mountain and the price is very reasonable. The old Crane 404 firepot has finally self destructed. A big chunk broke out and now there's a huge air bypass. Oh well, I got 4 years out of it for $50!
Everybody stay safe and keep warm!

Mornin'
Coffee sounds good, Freddy....Thank you. This past week Mother Nature let us know that Winter is here. I even loaded 'black rocks' into the Yukon for a 4 day run.......get the taste of 'wood' out of the chimney!!!! When it's real cold, the Yukon does a nice job keeping the basement and us warm. "5" more weeks, guys/gals, 'til Spring......stay warm and healthy.
Cheers

Morning all!

Nice and cold down here this week. The snow is even sticking around for more than a day or two, which is rare down here. Thanks for the coffee and eggs Freddy! I hope your "magnet fishing" goes well.

I think we are finished with the "Axeman 130 Heats Wood Boiler" project. The Axeman has been plumbed in and fired up for a week now and has no problem pushing that Monster wood boiler temp up even when all zones are calling!

That all worked out nicely. Now I don't really have anything to do this weekend! :what:

Stay healthy, happy and safe everyone!

My freind with the wood boiler has one of those BIG Kodiacs that he is now looking to sell. We moved it out to install the Axeman. Looks to be in really nice shape. I'll send you a PM.

Successful day. Bought the Kodiak. It was at the guy's cabin, back a mile long, unplowed, lane with 10" of snow. I was the 2nd set of tracks. Glad my F250 flatbed is 4wd. Old Crane is out, new Kodiak is installed and making heat!

Pictures of the beast.
Alaska Kodiak. No hopper, no flapper (will have one soon), fan not functioning. Can't figure out how to rotate the pictures, sorry.

I enjoyed a warm day 4 feet from my Chubby and 10 feet from the Riteway, both running about 300-350, house 75 or above. Didnt think I had to go outside except for dumping ash and mail until the snowplow went by, lol. I hate blowing snow when its below zero but it would have been like a rock in another day, what the plow threw into my driveway.

Its Joe Kidd on Grit right now but almost over. A great way to spend the evening! Ive been watching canoe trips on youtube to make it seem like summer, at least until I look outside, lol Ive been looking for a good bug shirt too, getting ready for summer!

My coffee tasted like socks for some reason, lol
