Just got my power back yesterday afternoon. Our town was 100% out until Friday. I'm on an isolated road with only 10 other neighbors. I'm about 1,600 ft. from the road with 4 poles on the property, luckily no trees came down on the lines on my property. Did have to clear 4 trees off the drive to open it back up. No generator (stupid me) so lost all the food in the fridge and freezer. Was able to get MRE's and bottled water from town hall and had the stream to swim in and water to wash things and for the chickens. Going to have to rethink the generator thing.

HB I'm sure you're glad to be retired. The money must be good for all the OT but man it must be blood money. These guys had to cover the whole state because it was so widespread. I applaud all of the hard work they did.

Never lost power at all except for a few minutes. Internet out for six and one half days. Interesting that tree companies were out locally trimming for the power company last year. On one ,one mile stretch they spent over one month trimming. I suspect it is why I never lost power.

Now nature has done most of the trimming for them and they can go back to ignoring maintenance for another five years or so until another storm knocks out everything.

CT was on the east side of the storm. We got the real strong wind and almost zero rain. Yes, we got hammered.

LOL, another Eversource truck showed up today and the guy looked at the wiring and asked if I had power. I laughed at him and said I got sick of waiting for you guys and fixed it myself. You should have seen the look on his face!🤣
