Sad news and it makes me feel old. At 83 he was no spring chicken but didn't seem that old either.

I am glad I got to see him up close. Not in Downeast Maine, but he played there twice in the last few years. Last time with Marshall Tucker. I went to the 50th anniversary Mustang show at the Nashville speedway back before I moved here and he was playing. (Not the reason we went, it was a by the way moment) Said if he was any closer to home he would keep his cows up, he lived just over the hill behind the track. Very approachable and a regular guy, played every town that would have him.
RIP indeed.

Kevin

Earlier in the day was on YouTube playing a song I’ve always loved; Simple Man. As soon as it finished I flipped over to news to see Bro. Charlie had passed away.

Sad news, but glad news. He made it home I believe.

What a talent!!!!!

Good news for Charlie, but sad for us that lost him. 2020 is not a good year, to say the least.
