Here's to remembering all those that gave their lives so we can have the simple freedoms that we so take for granted.

Bless you Uncle Vic! I never knew you, but will always think of you. Vic served a full term in WW2 and died in a plane crash on the way back to the USA.

Every single person that died in the Service of our country has a story, and every one deserves remembering.... forever. Thank you each and every one.

This day is for the ones that didn't come back not the ones that did, many forget that & still others have no clue other than it marks the start of summer.

B..B...B..
Thank you for posting the Memorial Day tribute. (Myself and cut'n paste do not play well)

The American Legion in our town has a flag display on the 'town common' for veterans. A couple years back the Mrs. filed the paper work for her father and I, and an uncle who lost his life in the South Pacific in WW-2.

Today is a day to be thankful.
Cheers

May we never forget that Freedom is not Free. It comes with a hefty price. The price of laying down ones life for his friends, family, and country.

How nice of you to list them by name. My family was mostly lucky in the wars since WWI in that they were too young or too old to be drafted or enlist except for Korea, my Uncle David, but he came back by sheer luck. Quite a few Uncles in the National Guard shortly after WWII. I lost my Great Uncle Charles in WWI and numerous more distant relatives in the Civil War. Many distant Grandfathers were in the Revolutionary War that made it home. I thank them all but mostly the ones who did not make it home.

Went to a Lowes in Ashtabula yesterday & they had a real nicely decorated primo parking spot we a sign that it was to remember all those Vets that never came back. Simple jester but it made most people stop & think for a bit!
