Syracuse weather doesn't sound so artic blast alarmist. Dipping down near freezing at night but 40's and 50's during the days for the next week. Friday chance of rain. Sat only 60% chance of snow and warming up Sunday.

It'll only snow if I start putting all the winter stuff away. ;)

The wind is really blowing here and it is getting chilly. Supposed to be 29 degrees by morning.

Yes and in 5 months it will be October! the Keystoker is still going, burning. Used 720 lbs in April and 1200 in January. I think it is going to be one of those years winter to Summer in one weekend.
Sunday 100 clams for the wife for Mother's day and those are all for her as no one can come because of Covid. She is quite thin and has hollow legs when it comes to steamers. Steak for me.

SNOW expected here this weekend. I don't care....smoking fresh steaks I purchased from a local farmer. Homade tater salad and a homemade raspberry layered cake with fresh whole milk frosting. Milk came from the same farmer the beef came from. Enjoying this time is essential and improves my psyche to make it through another week of remaining in place working from home. Be well, safe and above all focus on the positives you experience daily.☺

Expecting 6 to 10 inches here in Northern Maine. It's all good, we can handle it. My boiler has been shut down for 2.5 weeks. The oil boiler kicks on about 3 to 6 times a day, depending on temperature outside. Not using much oil at all.

it got down to 30 degrees here, and the power went out at 10pm last night. there was ice on the deck when i went out this morning.
the reading stoker is out, i need to clean the powervent and clean the stove before i light it again. supposed to be cool all week.
the oil furnace is running and it stank when it fired up about an hour ago when the power came back. first time it has run in 7 months.

Sun just came out. About 6" of heavy wet snow here. The Peaches, Plums and Apricot trees were blossoming so they are likely toast. The apple blossoms are about to open so they should be okay.

We got about 2-3" this morning, mostly melting now, up to almost 40, having the Sun/snow/sun/snow crazy all day.
