For whatever reason, when we retired our sheepdog and let her in the house, she has gravitated to me. I spoil her rotten, but a breed trait is, Great Pyrenees are very stubborn. I can get her to do what I ask, but no one else can, including Katie.

But I spoil her. We had four pieces of bacon left one time, so I cooked them for her and let the kids eat cereal. To this day they think I love the dog more than them.
