Growing up, we rarely went out to eat, and when we did, it was a treat; maybe 3 times a year and McDonald's was the "goto". When I joined the Navy in 1988...i remember eating out at McDonald's; I could easily have a meal for $3... 2 cheeseburgers a fry and coke. The same meal today in or area is $7. I don't partake like I did in the military these days; I may do so 3 times a year like when I was growing up. I prefer my own home cooked burgers that are slow cooked and smoked as I do with all of my meat products from April through November.

We didn't even get a MacDonald's until about 1976? In Quebec outside Montreal. After church we saw even the minister there for a while. I thought the fries were perfect.
