It got a little colder than forecasted, but hey when do they ever get that right?!
Now that's cold. Matches the all time record low for the area around where I live.

What is on the outside...
Missing some house wrap or a large gap in the sidewall...
Foam or traditional insulation...
That crack is happening for a reason...
Something is pulling apart at that point...
Joint in the sheathing not offset...

What is on the outside...
It is sheathed, house wrapped, then vynal siding

Missing some house wrap or a large gap in the sidewall...
Nothing missing, I’ve seen the side of the house torn down to the studs to replace the sheathing last year, due to a buckling issue.

Foam or traditional insulation...
Traditional batts insulation.

That crack is happening for a reason...
I think it’s associated with the crack in the drywall, only downfall with this place is they build it so rigid so to transport it down the road, but it doesn’t budge when the climate Changes.

Something is pulling apart at that point...
I think it’s the bottom sill plate separating from the subfloor.

Joint in the sheathing not offset...
I don’t think that’s the case.

Well oddly enough it’s warmed up to 15 degrees outside, and it is not a cold spot anymore...
