Mornin'
HB: Does this cafe have a 'coffee bean roaster'?
Coal burners, it is 33* temp at 6am. Getting close to lighting up. Suppose to be a nice week-end for the 'leaf-peepers'. Enjoy them while they're still on the tree.
Cheers

Morning all,

Looks like winter is on its way. Its chilly here on the tug hill this morning. Its been awhile since I have been on, life keeps us busy. Where is Freddy? When filling in for him, always and I mean always use the sock he uses for our java. Its a must. I hope everyone has a safe and productive weekend.

The Snowman.

Good morning,

Thanks for opening the door H.B. Not sure what "Halloween Flies" are but I'm sure their scary. :what:

Today are working on the 6.0 V8 for the Porsche 944. We plan on cleaning up the carb, connecting some fuel, putting some oil in it, connecting a battery and firing it up. If there is no loud clunking noises, it should be a good engine.
Porsche 944+Chevy V8

Have a good week everybody!

-Don

The sock is always on the edge of the sink.... just be careful not to wash it.

Good day! I over slept this morning. I guess that's what being retired is all about. :) I went to a magic show last night. Lyn Dillies....a rare female illusionist. She was good. Not too much "small magic", but she did a few things I'm still thinking about. I can usually figure out how a levitation is done, but she did a volunteer on a flat board that I'm still wondering about. The finalle was Houdini's "Metamorphosis" ... she was really fast on the switcheroo. Good fun.

Yup.... getting closer to firing up the Axeman Anderson. The heat pumps are keeping up, but starting to work harder.

Stay safe....have fun!

Hi guys

I know it’s supper time by now but I will take coffee at any time of the day, truck drivers gotta have it anytime it is offered.

Barry I know how you feel going to work on a Saturday... it sucks. This morning found me waking up in a lime truck somewhere in the middle of a 22 acre alfalfa field. It took me most of the week due to the rain interrupting things but I was able to put to bed an 80-ton order. It took some running around the clock but we did what we had to do.

I’m not going to do much tonight other than lay around with the boys and take it easy. We are moving coal around like a bunch of hellions, this week has been very busy. It was 31* this AM when I stepped out the door so the growing season is officially over here for those that had any doubts.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Recovering from the big blow this week...
90 to 103 peak gusts on The Cape...
Power and tree guys staged at the mall...
Most have power back today...
Some not till Monday...
Lost power for a bit at the house...
Stove was simmering along...
Had to work the grates to get all the ash and clinker from last year out...
I was bad never dumped the ash from last winter...
Just made this seasons fire in a hole of last seasons ash...
Next year I will empty it out but save some ash for the start of the fall season...
Runs real slow when it is all ash bound...
