considering how much disregard for and lack of accountability to outside opinion the Prince has shown I would expect the block by block neighborhood erasures to simply escalate.

it is beyond me how ready to exterminate each other segments of Arabia still are. The Barbarian mind set and lifestyle perfected by Khublai Kahn is still at large, it's just not the silk road anymore now it's the tar pits.

sad mess

In a free world one might expect this sort of calamity to cause the price of oil to skyrocket when markets resume trading on Monday, but the worlds central banks and markets have all weekend to contrive ways to distort and confound honest price discovery, so who knows, the price of oil might actually fall. But lest we forget, the refineries in the USA can't very well refine low quality fracked oil, and that's why we export most of it.

Ah, they are waking up at last ....

https://oilprice.com/Geopolitics/International/10 ... ction.html

The world is awash with crude oil but refineries, other than the China teapots, are just getting bigger and bigger. So another trend has been started. So it's not where you are in the world it's the trend. The PPT can short a few hundred contracts Monday morning but we are in trouble. Iran can get anything it wants
through their proxy buddies.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7463189/ ... eries.html

Daily Mail always has the best pics. All this with 10 drones? Yeah, the fire is out (I really doubt that and under control can mean anything). Now I will phone Walmart and get them to send over another Cat Cracker (whatever)..... BS ... it will take months to get this back to full operation (at least). Then they can blast it again. Were they military drones or perhaps civilian loaded with say 100 pounds of Semtex and steered into a sensitive part of the refinery.

So now SA hits back at Iranian refineries.

So CN says, guard your coal and buy lots of popcorn for the telly news programs.

The SA have already created the planets worst humanitarian in those Houthis with 100,000 dead at least. They are itching to blast away at more stuff .... very cost effective.

Easily the most interesting piece of news since the last high society Chazy BBQ shindig. :D

I just hope if those crazies start lobbing nukes at each other, all other areas of the world stay out of it and just let them destroy each other. I hope its been discussed among sane leaders of the world today.

I'd hang in for more CN headlines but Tyson Fury is fighting live tonight on ESPN+. Probably another 1 or 2 rounder but I dont want to miss it, even if the world does end tomorrow.... keep the updates coming!

Will $6 per gallon gasoline and $8 per gallon diesel be coming within a few weeks??? And double that in Europe. That ought to bring just about any economy to a screeching halt.

So we learned to protect ourselves from passengers trying to blow up our airliners, that asymmetrical threat has made air travel miserable but bearable. We seem to be able to protect cruise ships (I think). This weekend we entered a world of cheap little drones/rockets being able to blow up giant refineries that were heavily protected with Patriot air defenses. There is no going back to the old world as I see it.

Oil processing and distribution is fragile and the bad guys have now worked that out. Yikes. I need a pile of coal and a horse .... oh, WAM here. Oh no, does this mean BB is foaming at the mouth.

the important thing is that Tyson Fury won, but it was an ugly bloody fight...

Your right CN, it is a new terrorism threat. Drones should have never been marketed and they are cheap. You could buy at least 10 of the cheap ones instead of an assault weapon but you wont hear anyone say they want to ban or confiscate them like guns.

Larry, I dont see $6 gas in our future but anything is possible. Ive thought for a long time that our oil reserves are not large enough. But we could produce almost enough for ourselves if we had too, at least short term. I hope we dont have to find that out.

We will get first wind of the impact when we hear of the strategic reserve being opened to domestic use.

I saw today they will recover 1/3 of lost production Monday some time. It's not the end of the world. Everything will be back online in a few weeks.

One hour later, and now up about 13%. What will it look like when the USA market finally opens tomorrow morning, at about 9:30 AM?
