Outstanding coffee D. I taste ya found my old sock filter!! LOL Rainin here on the hill. So much for outdoor chores. Horses are fed, guess I'll give my feet a break. Waitin for appt. with an infectious disease specialist to call. Seems like everyone is a specialist except us old farmers where we've gotta do it all!! LOL Enjoy the week-end all.

Thanks for opening the door D.

Not much going on around here just mowing, laundry and cleaning stuff. I will be driving out to Hagerstown to pick up some parts for the Porsche 944+Chevy V8 project.

One bit of bad news, I took my white truck in for inspection this week. To my complete surprise, it failed for a big Ol rust hole in the drivers floor. That one totally got by me. It passed inspection for everything else but now it is illegal to drive. Looks like we will be doing some rust repair in the future.

Have a good week everybody!

-Don

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans

No coffee for me this morning.

Returning from CA with lots of family issues swirling and most of them are bad news or worse. Way to much to bore a coal board with. I need to buckle down and get ready for winter. Things are a mess all over here so happy tales of North camp revelry or high society parties in Chazy would go over well.

No high society parties this week. My 12 yr old dog was diagnosed with bone cancer this week, so we are trying to get his meds dialed in to make him comfortable. Not sure how long he has, but if we can keep him comfortable we will just play it day by day.

30 mph winds and rain at the moment. Looks like a good day to cook something tasty. I am off to the store. Take care everyone.

Hi guys

Not much to report on here, doing lots of house coal deliveries and spreading some lime as the corn is being chopped. Silo filling is in full swing.

A big ‘ol bolt of lightning kicked the power out the other night and I was too lazy to get out of bed to call Penelec and report it. Woe is me, now the EFM sits cold and abandoned awaiting its cleaning and servicing.

Local antique tractor show going on this weekend. I have two tractors there, a Cat D2 and a Ford 801 diesel. Perhaps some photos to follow later if anyone is interested.

A show quality D2, can I have a photo please. I still miss my D8. Also a photo of the 801 would be appreciated. My Jubillee still sees almost daily use.

801 Powermaster Diesel is a rare find. Amazing how well they start, even without using the intake heater.

Have 3 restored D2’s but only one running at the present time. One has the ring gear completely chewed up and needs split (easy fix) and the other dumped all the pony engine gas down into the crankcase. Both are good jobs for days not in the middle of coal season. This one is a 1948 I think.

801 is a 1964 and was the first Select-o-Speed sold in this area, all original condition. My Great Uncle was the local Ford dealer.

Silas was kind enough to let me sit on the D2 with him as he drove. Brittany’s dad and Dolan on the Ford:
