Freddy has evaded the search parties for the second week, or the skeeters have him cornered somewhere in E Millinocket.....
Big day on the water as about 20 of the older men, and some wives, from my basketball crowd will take to some boats and go to a marina restaurant after some splash time. Ungodly humid here and temp in the 90's. Great day for the water. No skeeters.....have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Dee hey Gang! Oh man...I got caught in a time warp & 2 or three hours ended up being 2 or 3 weeks! It's tough to leave North camp. Peace, calm, beauty & good neighbors, and for some odd reason, remarkably few mosquitoes. There's a few horse flies, but even they didn't bother much. Perhaps the best 3 weeks of weather EVER! Only one day of rain....and even that day it cleared off just after noon. Good pontoon boat rides with friends & neighbors, and good Seadoo rides until I vacuumed up a bunch of rocks & trashed my impeller. I bought Eloise a giant inflatable swan for Christmas. It came with a tiny baby swan (drink holder) they we tied a 4 foot sting to. One day as I got back from a Seadoo ride & I saw the baby was in trouble. I drove the craft to it & two of three time adjusted my position to save the little bird. I did not notice the back end of the Seadoo crept close to shore & when I asked it to throttle forward a bit....Clankity cracky bang.... it lunched the impeller. Nothing a few hundred bucks won't fix.
I trust you all stayed safe while I was gone. I trust you'll stay safe when I go back! I'm dreaming of going up for another spell, perhaps in 2 or 3 weeks.
Here's a pic of the Swans.... Eloise's brothers motor camper & the new retaining wall (left side) that we built the first 5 days up there. All's good.... thanks for keeping the coffee going!

Hey guys
Glad to see you are having a good time Freddy, we thought perhaps you weren’t coming back. Not much going on here, watched another AA baseball game last night then spread lime this morning until the silo was emptied.
Did the soap bucket derby with the truck-axle and mowed all the grass. It is pleasant here in the high 70’s after a cold front went through Thursday night. I hope it heats back up, I’m not ready for Fall yet.
Have a great week.

Wilder...
Sucks to be in the middle of an ending...
But better things will come with time...
Take a break, spoil yourself...
Then in a year you can jump back in the deep end of the pool...
For me...
Clearing out the side lot of over grown trees...
Nobody thinned them out, now its an ugly mess...
Started last year clearing out the vines and brush just to gets some paths through...
Tons of Boston Ivy. Have pruned it off the trees...
Hit the ground level ivy with brush killer several times and it is beginning to loose the battle...
A few more gallons will do...
Goats are out of the question, town zoning...
Will let the pros handle the big guys, all pines...
Taking out the smallish oaks that are too close together...
Make for some nice brush fires this fall...
The logs will be ready for camp/cook fires next year...
Will have a nice shaded spot for the kids to play in...
Future swing/climb/adventure land for the kids to play on...
