OK folks..... You're on your own for the summer! I'll leave a big ol' sack of coffee & a whole drawer of old socks.... nice & clean socks.... so.... filter away! I may of may not be here on any given Saturday and it's looking like I won't have Internet. So..... someone push a button & keep this place afloat! Hope you all have smooth summer season.

Tomorrow belongs to those that plan today.

I'll stop in when I can. Hug your loved ones & hang tight!

Good morning, and happy 4th!

I just finished setting up a fence around the chicken coup. I moved the girls to a new spot for the summer...figured my old apple tree could use the fertilizer.

Apple trees. The netting protects the apples from hail damage.

Sweet looking coop/run for the ladies. My half acre fenced in run has been a godsend for my 50 ladies production; since mid-May, when they turned out, production has increased to nearly 4 dozen daily from 1.5 dozen. They keep the grass mowed and the bugs down, plus the eggs seem to taste even better according to family and customers.

What variety of apples do you produce? Good looking setup btw.

My trees are Mcintosh. The ones covered with netting belong to the local orchard, and produce apples called "Sweet Tango". They are the best apples I have ever had, and are only grown at a handful of orchards.

Freddy,
You forgot your favorite pair of golfing socks, you know, the sock with "a hole in one"- We can't use that for coffee!!!!!!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th of July. "Summer coffee" sounds great. Hopefully, Mother Nature will give us nice weather.
Cheers

We get the tangos here, but they dont last long. Ours come from NY, same as the honey crisps; both are my favorite.
