Yes, in the northern hemisphere it's today. Don't be fooled, and enjoy it while it lasts. Tomorrow will have 1 second less daylight in my zip code. And it's all down hill from there. The 22nd will be 6 seconds shorter in daylight. Enter your zip code, and then drop down the page to see the chart.

Although the longest day is upon us, the hottest average temps occur later in July. So at least we have that to look forward to.. we'll be into the 4th week of June and only used the pool once so far this season..

I once saw a statistic that indicated that 'on average' the hottest day of the year comes one month post the longest daylight day of the year, and the coldest day of the year comes one month post the shortest daylight day of the year.

That would place the average hottest day of the year at around July 20th, and the average coldest day of the year at around January 21st.

Just another day. The real story is that days are getting shorter due to man made climate change.

How does climate change speed up Earth's rotation?

The world is ending .... Miami is sinking and it is all due to climate change. However, the water level at Key West is constant (they only have 4' to play with and they are watching this trust me). So my question is, who is trucking all that sand from Miami to Key West. It's a trucking industry make work scheme I tell you.

The rain better end soon for local farmers, some still don't have fields planted & my neighbor has very little of his first cut hay. Can't think of any here that will have corn knee high but the forth of July. Otherwise grass/weeds are going great I'll be needing to do another lawn mower gas run soon!

Once Sam finished that mansion irrigation system two years ago... the rest is history. Corn is finished for this year but I did clear out a local farmers first hay cutting that was surprisingly good and dry. I doubt there will be a second cutting.

Went mowing with my Dixie chopper and got that stuck in the mud. Reached for the DB 1210 to get it out ...and that got stuck .... next came the Case skid steer as of last night.... yep, you guessed it. I think I found an underground river that I never knew existed. Now you tell me the days are getting shorter. I am to old for this chit.

I just saw where only about 68% of the anticipated Ohio corn has been planted to date. I had a roughly 30 foot wide river flowing across the low section of my normally dry back yard yesterday.
