Ohhh, goodness, This fresh ground coffee is some perky! Please, come in & enjoy a cup. Pancakes, real butter & good ol' Maine maple syrup for breakfast. Yum! ( I can say Maine syrup is the best, but I've never had bad syrup no matter where it's from!)

If I had the sense that God gave a grapefruit, I'd fill my coal bin today..... It's a beautiful day & winter a'int all that far away! But, I probably won't. Too many other things to get done.

Two larger than normal projects this summer..... replace a retaining wall at north camp, and get rid of my giant Rhino shelter that had a life ending event this Spring. It's demise started with that 22" wet snow we had late last winter. It's a mess! I'll take pics before it comes down.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi guys

Coffee feels good, the last several mornings have been down in the low 50’s and I start the day with a flannel shirt tucked in. We are going to get a little closer to 80 today... that’s more like it for me.

We made it through another week on the firing line so we will try it again Monday... putting on around 400 miles a day, so not too demanding. The chassis needs greased again after a wash job and then we will move on to yard work in the afternoon. Supper will be at a good friends house tonight at an old farm up along the mountain for a picnic and campfire.

The big news is that we traded our ancient John Deere Gator 6x4 for a very slightly used 825i Gator. I’ve been watching for several years for one with low hours, power steering, and a cab with heat, and this week one cropped up on the local Green lot. It is something that gets used around this ranch almost daily and felt now was a good time to update. It’s not being delivered until early next week, so stay posted for pics.

Have a great week!

Mornin'
Coffee sounds good, thank you, Freddy. So now that your retired, you have time for a 'couple' little projects. Guess what, a couple, leads into three, then four, and more..........

I have the bush hog on the JD 650, to start mowing the weeds between the Christmas trees today, but first, one more cup of that good coffee. Have a nice week-end, everyone.
Cheers

Good Morning....I need the perky coffee and I need to lube my chassis after tearing off and re-roofing a shed yesterday. I was supposed to have help humping the shingle bundles up but the kid couldn't be there for a legitimate reason so I got a work out I am feeling today. Small roof but it still did me in. Pancakes and advil for breakfast today!

It was a beautiful day yesterday and more of the same today! Replacing a storm door, cutting some grass and that's all for today.

Have a great day!

Good morning. I started the weekend yesterday, took the day off and knocked out some odd jobs after "Father's day kickball" at the school with my little guy. Had a great day and got some things crossed off the list.

Installed the electric water heater.

Installed a wireless access point to have internet in the guest house.

Spread a load of stone on the 2nd driveway.

Today I get to bbq 36 chicken halves with dad and feed a crowd. Will check back tomorrow.

Just coffee today but we are going over to Blooming Hill Farm for organic food. 30 year anniversary and still going strong .... well may be I am not so strong but still going. Mega mowing and and at last I have the farm kinda in control now I can focus on coal delivery and many other things. Put in fence posts with the Cat 955 yesterday and I suspect the steering clutches need attention..... geez. Any volunteers? I need a new back.

As usual .. I am to old for this chit but I struggle on.

ImageHere's a picture from Memorial Day weekend. No one in the cabin but the dog. This morning I was sitting in the recliner near the front door when Mr. Bear came back again and pushed on the screen and pushed open the door. It wasn't latched. We all hollared. I think we scared him as much as he scared us. Potter county PA.

After watching the attached 7 part video I have to say, I'm impressed that you'll tackle that...

So CL, you are young fit, well prepared for the job and totally buried in rain. I think a vacation in the Hudson Valley would be good for you. Rob will demand a video as he always does. Before you pack your bags however I hacked the mud off the offending track this morning and realized the track has no tension at all and is super loose. I stuck my hand in there and it came out covered in grease. It appears I have lost a grease zerk. Remember, those later 955H tracks were not tensioned with special tools. I will lift the back end up with my 7 ton Taylor forklift (the track moves easier but that is not required) find a zerk that fits and any old chitty grease and the track just expands out until it has about a coupla inches of play. Again Rob will need pics at the very least. In return the Chazy soi·rée of the year (mentioned Rollin' Stone) will be videoed for us to salivate over.
